Four different homes in Charlotte, NC were invaded by robbers overnight. All of the robberies occurred in various parts of the city and police do not believe they are connected. The scary part is that all of the robberies occurred with the homeowners still inside.
One of the homes robbed is located on Shamrock Drive in East Charlotte. This home was broken into around midnight. A person inside the home was cut in the face after a struggle with the burglar, but is expected to be okay.
The second invasion occurred at the University Club Apartments on Rebecca Bailey Drive in Northeast Charlotte. Police say three men with guns broke into an apartment and the men tied up the people inside and robbed the home. No one was hurt during the incident.
The third break-in occurred at a home on Echodale Drive in Southwest Charlotte. One man with a gun forced his way into the home and assaulted a woman inside. The victim is expected to be okay.
The fourth home invasion occurred around 5 a.m. in West Charlotte. Police reported that two men with guns robbed a man inside the home. Investigators said the four home invasions are not connected. Anyone with information concerning these incidences is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (704) 334-1600.
