A special police team arrested a man in north Charlotte Wednesday night and charged him with failing to register as a sex offender. Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Kenny Maxwell Counts, 46.Counts is charged with moving from South Carolina to Charlotte and failing to notify the sheriff's department of his new address.
The team making the arrest is comprised of police officers, sheriff's deputies and U.S. Marshals. Counts is in the Mecklenburg County jail with a $15,000 bail. ~ WSOC-TV
