Police have arrested 16 year old Johnny Davis (R) who confessed to starting a fire early this morning at a vacant apartment on Frew Rd. Police said that after bringing Davis in for questioning, Davis confessed to starting the Frew Rd fire and five others as well. Four of those fires were brush fires and the fifth was a fire he set at the same Frew Road apartment complex on November 1st.Johnny Davis is no stranger to CMPD or the Mecklenburg County jail. The recent arrest is his 5th arrest this year. In January, Davis was arrested for assault on a female & spent nearly a month in jail. He was arrested again in August for assault & battery. In September, Davis was arrested for larceny of a firearm.
On Monday, Davis was arrested for larceny of a firearm, injury to personal property and interfering with emergency communications. He was released yesterday and now he is back in jail facing multiple arson related charges.
