Several people gathered at Frazier Park to remember loved ones killed in 2006 yesterday. Mothers of Murdered Offspring and the Footprints Ministry held the "Release of Remembrance," where families released balloons into the air to help them remember their lost loved ones.
Leonna Nicholson's grandson, Matthew, was killed in November and she feels the gun laws aren't tough enough. "I think there are too many unlicensed guns out there, too many illegal guns, and I think that's something they really need to be cracking down on." she said.
Footprints Ministries and Mothers of Murdered Offspring want the community to come together to decrease the murder rate in 2007. -News 14 Carolina
