Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were busy overnight investigating three separate overnight shootings.
The first shooting occurred on Burnette Ave around 7:00 last night. Police say a man was inside of his residence when someone shot through his window and he was struck in the shoulder by a round. The victim was transported to CMC with non life threatening injuries.
The second shooting occurred around 10:00 last night on Cummings Ave. CMPD officers were called to Lynchester Place in reference to a subject who had been shot in the back. The victim advised that he was shot during a reported robbery attempt on Cummings Avenue and drove to Lynchester Place. The victim was alert and conscious at the scene and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The third shooting happened on Brookhill Road near South Tryon Street around 2:30 this morning. Police officers found a man who was shot in the back after a robbery attempt. Police said they weren't sure if the shooting happened on Brookhill Road or at another location or if any of the shootings are related.
