Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police believe seven different armed robberies that occurred today were committed by the same suspects. The crime spree started around 11:30 this morning and lasted an hour.
Police say three young black males were riding around in a red/burgundy Jeep SUV armed with guns. The Jeep has tinted windows, a luggage rack and a temporary tag. Police say the men were targeting Hispanic males in the robberies since they are known to carry cash and not report crimes.
The robberies occurred at 10:57 am on Horne Drive, at 11:11 am on W Craighead Road, at 11:31 am on N Tryon St, three robberies on Ginger Lane at 11:36, 11:38 & 11:39 am.
