Woman Opens Door and is Attacked & Robbed

A young woman who lives on Southhampton Rd. made a big mistake last night when she opened the door to someone she didn't know. The 24-year old woman said the person was knocking on her front door for a long time and she thought it might be her boyfriend. She was dead wrong...

After the woman opened her front door, a man put a gun in her face and told her to be quiet. The man then told her to put her hands behind her back and he tied them up. She was brought to her bathroom by the assailant and the man grabbed her property and left. The woman had two children and another adult in her home at the time of the attack but they were sleeping and unharmed.

Police ask citizens to call police if someone is knocking on your door late at night and you aren't expecting any guests or the person looks suspicious. Call 911 and police will send an officer to check it out.

The suspect in this case is a black male who fled in a grey vehicle (luggage rack on the back) with items from her residence, including; an X-Box, games and a DVD player. If you have any information, please call Charlotte Crime Stoppers @ 704-334-1600. Photo: WSOC-TV
