Man Wanted for Inappropriately Touching Women at CMC

Police are still looking for the man who inappropriately touched two women in the maternity ward at Carolinas Medical Center on Sunday, March 4th. Hospital video surveillance captured the suspect drive into CMC's visitors parking garage at 5:15 am. The suspect was driving a black truck with silver stripes down the side.

The man took the stairs to the maternity ward on the eighth floor. The surveillance video shows the suspect coming from the stairwell and looking around as he entered the floor. The man entered the first victim's room at 5:40am. According to the victim, the man asked her where she hurt and told the woman he needed to examine her and proceeded to touched her.

The suspect exited the first victim's room and video depicts him enter several other rooms. He was in some of the rooms briefly and in other rooms for several minutes. The man entered the second victim's room at 6:00am and did the same thing to the second woman. Hospital officials said the man was on the maternity floor for 30 minutes.

The suspect is a white male with facial hair. He was described as wearing a dark ball cap and a dark, short-sleeve work shirt. Anyone with information about this man is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-344-1600. Photos: WCNC
