On Tuesday afternoon, CMPD officers were called to the Elizabeth neighborhood in Charlotte after someone called about a break-in at 2536 7th Street. When police arrived, they found the door open and discovered the place filled with marijuana, growing equipment and fertilizing chemicals.Police obtained a search warrant and called the Charlotte Fire Department to monitor the explosive chemicals. Police found over a hundred marijuana plants and all kinds of hi-tech growing equipment inside the duplex.
Police arrested 34-year old Brian Willard Lasher, 34, and charged him with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell marijuana, maintaining a dwelling to keep/sell controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $15,000 bond.
