Man Arrested for Restaurant Robbery in Stallings

Police arrested Kipini Faelik Davis, 34, after he robbed a Stallings restaurant and led officers on a chase which ended in Mint Hill. Davis was found hiding in the crawl space of a home.

Police say Davis walked into the 'Burger Joint' on Stallings Road around 7:30 on Tuesday night. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the three employees who were in the restaurant at the time.

After Davis left the scene in a stolen car, Matthews police and Union County Sheriff Deputies spotted him driving along Highway 74 near Windsor Square in Matthews and Stallings police officers joined in the chase.

Davis ditched the car at the intersection of Highway 51 & Hartis Lane and fled on foot. The police called in the K-9 unit and helicopter to search for Davis. Finally, officers found Davis hiding in the crawl space of a home in the area. He was arrested without incident.
