Shortly before 7:00 pm, James Henry Brewer, 54, was shot and killed by an employee of a 'Cricket' phone store on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.Police say North Division Officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Cricket Store, located in the Catawba Village Shopping Center. Upon arrival, officers found Brewer suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Police say they plan on presenting the case to the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office to determine whether charges will be brought against the store employee.
