Once again, copper wire thieves have darkened parts of I-77 near LaSalle Street. After years of waiting, the lights were finally replaced by NCDOT and a few days later... thieves took copper wiring from the lamp posts. Police say the thieves shut down 15-20 street lights and got away with over $4,000 worth of copper wiring.If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
