Early this morning, CMPD Officers and Medic responded to 2006 Southwind Dr. after receiving a 911 call from a 9-year old boy who said his mother was hurt and bleeding from her head.Upon arrival, police found 27-year old Latosha Early suffering from a severe head injury. She was transported to CMC and is currently being kept alive on life support.
Police say it appeared her home had been broken into, however, it isn't known if she knew her attacker(s). Officers took the four young children from the home to provide counseling support and other assistance. The victim's husband, Damon Early, has been cooperating with the investigation.
Police say the investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
