UPDATE: On May 24, 2010, a subject matching the description of the sexual battery suspect was taken into custody at the Harris Teeter store located at 11516 Providence Road. The suspect has been identified as Juan Perez aka Juan Carlos Torres-Lemuz.An employee of the store alerted two CMPD officers to the fact the suspect may be inside their store. One officer was working for Harris Teeter in a secondary employment capacity; the second is a member of the South Division’s Focused Mission Team, who was assigned to patrol the parking lot in an effort to locate the suspect or his vehicle, a white Chevrolet van.
Officers quickly located the suspect and took him into custody. His vehicle was also located in the parking lot. Once officers had the suspect in custody, a woman came forward to state that the suspect had just groped her moments earlier.
The suspect was interviewed at the South Division office and will be charged with four counts of Sexual Battery, one each for the victims in these cases. In the Wal-Mart case, the suspect assaulted two separate victims, for a total of four victims.

The male subject shown in the above slide show is believed to be the man responsible for two recent sexual battery cases that occurred in Wal-Mart and Harris Teeter Stores located in the South Division.
