On February 26, 2009, Jeffrey Hieronymous, a former civil engineer for the City of Charlotte, disappeared from his home on Chesterfield Ave and was never seen nor heard from again.On the night he went missing, Hieronymous went outside to smoke a cigarette and never returned. He left all of his personal belongings behind and family members say it is unlike Jeff to just disappear and not contact anyone.
