According to WSOC-TV & WCNC, another Johnson & Smith student was robbed in uptown Charlotte this morning. CMPD did not send a news release and the two news stations are reporting different locations of where the robbery occurred as either on W Trade Street or W Fifth Street.
The student said he was knocked to the ground by three men who took his wallet and left in a small white sedan with black trim.
Since April, 7 people have been robbed or attacked in the Gateway area (4th Ward) of uptown, including one in September and two in October. Police told the news stations they will increase patrol in the area.
