Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they issued almost 60 citations late Saturday night and early Sunday during a DWI checkpoint in west Charlotte. Police conducted the checkpoint from 11 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday on Wilkinson Boulevard- near Berryhill Road.
During that time, they say they issued six citations for DWI and three more for underage drinking. Another three persons were charged for drug-related offenses, police say. They also seized one gun, issued five citations for driving with a revoked license, and served 12 warrants on suspects. Source: The Charlotte Observer
