Antonio Londale Raye, 18, was shot & killed just a feet away from West Charlotte High School & a recreation center around 4 pm this afternoon. The incident occurred on Senior Drive in northwest Charlotte. The victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he later died. Witnesses told 6NEWS the shooting was the result of a fight over a girl. The suspect, Randall Adams Jr., 17, is in Mecklenburg County Jail charged with murder.
Classes had been dismissed when the fight started. Police have said neither the victim or the shooter was a student at West Charlotte High.
After school activities were not canceled. Band and football practice was supervised by school administration. Police have not said if an arrest has been made or if the shooter has been identified. Source: 6News
