Overnight Robberies in Charlotte

CMPD Officers are busy investigating multiple robberies that have occurred over the past couple of days. Thankfully, no injuries occurred in any of the robberies.

Police say the Sports Connection on Little Rock Road was robbed by four black males. The business was closed but employees were there when the men tried to enter. One of the armed men fired 8 rounds into a window to gain entry and rob the business and victims.

On Regal Oaks Drive, a man reported he was robbed at gunpoint by 2 black males on bicycles and one was armed with a handgun.

The Microtel Inn and Suites located on Queen City Drive was robbed when a man entered the business with a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'6", 150 lbs, wearing a black coat, black jeans, black tennis shoes, black T-shirt with white writing, blue ski mask and gloves. He was armed with a silver handgun and fled in a white four door vehicle.

On English Drive, two men and one woman entered a residence occupied by two people. One of the suspects fired one round from a shotgun into the residence after an attempt to rob the victims. The three suspects (two black males, one named "King" and one black female) fled with an additional black female suspect in a gray older model Buick.

Police think the robbery that occurred on English Drive is connected to a robbery that happened yesterday on Northbrook Drive. Four victims were robbed by two black males, one armed with a shotgun. One of the subjects is identified as "King." One of the suspects fired one round inside the residence but none of the victims was injured. The robbers also demanded a television from one of the victims.
