Around 1:00 this afternoon, a vigilant neighbor called police when she spotted two men putting electronics and a gun into the back of a Honda Accord on Peachtree Rd. The woman did not recognize the men and felt it was suspicious. The neighbor continued to watch as the two men walked away from the car towards the house. She then she saw the two suspects kick in the front door to enter the house.
Police arrived on the scene when the men were still inside the house but the thieves spotted the police and ran out the back door. CMPD Officers captured one of the suspects right away and searched the area for the second suspect. The police set up a perimeter to keep the suspect contained and the CMPD helicopter and K-9 unit responded to assist with the search. A short time later, the second suspect was found hiding in a neighbors garbage can!! The two men who were arrested are Jamonte Baker and Anthony Roland.
