Two Shot During Bar Robbery

UPDATE: 2-10-09: On Feb. 6, 2009, Wilson finally accepted the plea offer of 90-117 months for only the highest of the three felonies on the offer. He was originally charged with 7 felonies. The victims had no impact except for showing up at EVERY hearing en masse. Wilson never flipped on his accomplice(s), nor admitted total guilt in this open-and-shut situation.

Shortly before 1:00 am, two people were shot during an attempted armed robbery at the Snug Harbor Bar, located on Gordon Street.

Police say two masked men entered the bar armed with a shotgun and handgun and tried to rob the customers inside the bar. When a patron challenged the robbers, the suspects started shooting aimlessly towards the crowd. A man and woman were shot and taken by Medic to the hospital with non-life threatening injures.

The two suspects attempted to flee but Officers called in the K-9 unit and were able to catch and arrest Richard Williams Wilson. The second suspect got away.
