The female victim was robbed of her vehicle, a black 1998 Jeep Cherokee, (NC Tag YRY-7138.) The vehicle has not yet been recovered. Please call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or contact 911 immediately if you know the name or location of suspect or if you have seen the victim’s vehicle. The suspect is described as a black male, about 5’10” tall, with a thin build.
Crime Summary: At 8 pm on September 20th, the shown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and waited for her to return from shopping. Once the victim entered her vehicle and began to drive away, the suspect placed a handgun to her head and demanded money. The victim then drove the suspect to an ATM where she was forced to withdraw cash from her account. After driving away from the ATM near The Plaza, the suspect released the victim and he drove off in her car. The victim was able to run to a nearby house and call 911.
