On October 1, 2010, Providence Division Officers were dispatched to a call of a Breaking and Entering in progress at an apartment complex in the 3600 block of Eastover Ridge Drive. A neighbor called 911 to report she heard glass breaking at one of the units. When officers arrived they observed a broken bedroom window at the rear of one of the apartment units.The officers attempted to locate the resident when they observed John Paul Mize inside of the apartment. Mr. Mize was attempting to remove property from the apartment he broke into. Mr. Mize was arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering with Force and taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
