CMPD Officers Arrest Suspect During Night Club B&E

Freedom Division Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested Bobby J. Barrett (aka Bobby Taylor) on July 6, 2011, at approx. 3:00 am.  CMPD Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm at the Savoy 2002 Nightclub located at 3930 Brookshire Blvd.

When officers arrived at the location they observed the rear door was slightly ajar. When an officer pushed the door open he observed the suspect inside of the business with a hammer in his hand. The suspect turned and ran from the officer, but was quickly apprehended.

During the course of the investigation officers determined that the suspect pried open the back door and cash registers inside of business.
