Fifty-three (53) defendants plead guilty in Mecklenburg County Superior Court before The Honorable Beverly T. Beal and The Honorable Robert C. Ervin, Superior Court Judges. The defendants entered their guilty pleas from Monday, December 12 - Friday, December 16, 2011. Among them were:
Michael Washington, 35, plead guilty to four (4) counts of first degree sexual offense on a child. Washington was sentenced to 204-254 months in prison.
Reginald Hoover, 49, plead guilty to three (3) counts of sexual activity by a substitute parent. Hoover was sentenced to 99-147 months in prison.
Gerald Sykes, 38, plead guilty to robbery with a dangerous weapon. Sykes was sentenced to 59-80 months in prison.
Damiyon Sanders, 18, plead guilty to robbery with a dangerous weapon. Sanders was sentenced to 51-71 months in prison.
Jarvis Wilson, 18, pled guilty to 1) robbery with a dangerous weapon, 2) attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and 3) conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Wilson was sentenced to 44-62 months in prison.
George Manly, 42, plead guilty to attempted second degree rape. Manly was sentenced to 40-57 months in prison.
Jose Alfonso, 26, plead guilty to attempted second degree sex offense. Alfonso was sentenced to 38-55 months in prison.
James Rollins, 42, plead guilty to assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill. Rollins was sentenced to 29-44 months in prison.
William Durand, 33, plead guilty to common law robbery. Durand was sentenced to 22-27 months in prison.
Charles Myrick, 34, plead guilty to 1) felony fleeing to elude and 2) driving while impaired (DWI). Myrick was sentenced to 14-17 months in prison, plus an additional 6 months in prison for the DWI conviction.
Sidney Spears, 21, plead guilty to 1) felony breaking or entering and 2) conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. Spears was sentenced to 20-33 months in prison.
Macario Reyes, 31, plead guilty to indecent liberties with a child. Reyes was sentenced to 14-17 months in prison.
Antonio Frazier, 28, plead guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Frazier was sentenced to 13-16 months in prison.
Demarice Terrell, 19, pled guilty to 1) common law robbery and 2) financial transaction card theft. Terrell was sentenced to 13-16 months in prison.
Joe Johnson, 20, plead guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Johnson was sentenced to 12-15 months in prison.
Reginald Johnson, 23, plead guilty to 1) common law robbery and 2) conspiracy to commit common law robbery. Johnson was sentenced to 12-15 months in prison.
Willie Sturdivant, 19, plead guilty to common law robbery. Sturdivant was sentenced to 12-15 months in prison.
Lorenzo Little, 23, plead guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Little was sentenced to 10-12 months in prison.
Derrick Evans, 24, plead guilty to possession of cocaine. Evans was sentenced to 6-8 months in prison.
Gary Williams, 31, plead guilty to felony larceny from the person. Williams was sentenced to 6-8 months in prison.
