Dog Walking Burglar Now Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

Charges are racking up for 21 year-old Jordan Frye. Frye is the owner of the dog walking service Queen City Dog Service. He was arrested Tuesday on burglary charges for stealing expensive items from his clients' homes while they were away. Because he had earned the trust of his clients, Frye had keys and alarm codes to enter their homes. He admitted to authorities that he had taken 83 items, including jewelry and electronics, from his clients' homes from May to September.

Frye is now being charged with animal cruelty after a search of his home produced a mistreated puppy that quickly died thereafter. According to investigators, 8 month-old Cupcake was found with urine and feces all over her. Frye had been watching the dog over a period of two weeks. Cupcake's owner, who had used Queen City Dog Service for a period of months, was shocked to find out how her dog had been treated.

Frye's charges now include cruelty to animals and several counts of felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.

SC Police Arrest Suspect in Horse Shooting

Kendrick Martinez Culp

Deputies with the Chester County Sheriff's Office arrested 24 year-old Kendrick Martinez Culp, of Great Falls, for allegedly shooting two horses, killing one of them.

Robert Wishert, also a native of Great Falls, was out to feed his two horses Sunday evening when he found that his female horse was suffering from three gunshot wounds. That horse was taken to a local veterinarian and is expected to recover. Wishert's male horse had been shot once and was already dead when he found him.

When police and animal control personnel searched the area for clues, they found a witness who identified Culp in the incident. According to the witness, Culp was with another man when they shot the horses. Police are trying to identify and locate the other man, who is from Lancaster but is known only by the name "Juicy".

Police discovered that Culp was attempting to sell a .22 rife to "Juicy". Apparently, Culp was demonstrating the rifle's capabilities by using it on the two horses. He was charged with two counts of animal cruelty.

Culp is being jailed in Chester County on a $7,500 bond for one count of animal cruelty. The bond for the second animal cruelty charge is still pending.

Suspects Burglarize Charlotte Home, Kill Owner's Dog

A Charlotte Resident returned from an out-of-town trip Sunday to find her home burglarized and her dog killed.

Toya Davis left town to attend a funeral when one of her neighbors noticed that Davis' back door was standing open. That neighbor quickly phoned the police, who were dispatched to the house. When police arrived they found the home had been ravaged by burglars, who had entered the house via a window in the bathroom.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, the burglars stole electronics valued at thousands of dollars. Even worse, police discovered Davis' dog had been killed during the burglary.

Shadow, Davis' 8 year old Cocker Spaniel, had been killed with a hammer in a bedroom in the back of the house. Police found the hammer used in the killing as well as a baseball bad in the house. CMPD were successful in lifting fingerprints from the items.

Mt Holly Woman Arrested for Animal Cruelty

Tracy Michelle Knight, a 30 year-old from Mt Holly, was arrested in connection with cruel animal treatment which manifested in incidents on June 24 and July 28. She is accused of neglecting three dogs, a chihuahua, pit bull, and a shepherd mix. Reports say she failed to provide the dogs with basic necessities such as food, water, and shelter.

One of the dogs, the pit bull named Jake, required veterinary attention due to extreme sores and malnutrition.

Whether or not Knight has a lawyer is unknown.
