According to WBTV, police have arrested three teenagers who are responsible for a two month shooting spree across southwest Mecklenburg County. When police finish their investigation, they said the teens could be charged with 200 cases of vandalism.
The teenagers are identified as Charles Hancock (Top R) , Chad Moustafa (L), and Anthony Murphy (Bottom R). Hancock and another teenager, Daniel Massetti, were arrested for vadalism incidents in South Carolina two weeks ago.
Police believe the teens targeted several neighborhoods and shoot into cars late at night using a bb gun. "What we got from them when asked why they were doing this, was boredom, it was fun to do, and they hadn't gotten caught yet," said CMPD Officer Travis Pardue.
Police credit neighborhood watch groups for generating tips which led to the teens' arrest.
