Missing Girl: Gastonia

According to The Charlotte Observer:

Gastonia police are asking for the public's help in finding a 17-year-old Gastonia girl who has not been seen since Monday.

Police say Lakenya "Kenya" Nashay Young left Hunter Huss High School on Monday morning, according to a report from the Gastonia Police Department. She called a friend to say that her car was at the Bi-Lo on Davis Park Road. No one has heard from her since Monday night, the release stated.

Lakenya may be with an acquaintance named Eddie, according to police. Lakenya is 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 170 pounds. Police ask anyone with information concerning Lakenya's whereabouts to call the Gastonia Police Department at (704) 866-6702 or the agency's youth bureau at (704) 866-6876.
