I know Charlotte is a city and we are going to have crime but it seems to get worse and worse. We have multiple shootings and stabbings every day, people driving around drunk, and drugs galore. I go through the arrest records every day and I am amazed at the number of drug arrests and driving while impaired offenses. I am also shocked at the growing number of assaults and breaking and entering/theft arrests. As I have said many times before, I am always astonished at the amount of re-offenders. At around 3:15 this morning, a UNC-Charlotte student was shot as he was walking to his apartment on the 1500 block of Suther Road. He was approached by several people and after he handed over his book bag, he was shot. Bin Zhao, 32, was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. Source: WBTV
