UPDATE 4-20-06: The two men suspected of murdering Larahyna Berry earlier this week have turned themselves in to the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. Berry was shot and killed at 2833 Columbus Circle on Monday evening. ---------CMPD issued murder warrants against Jason Baker, 23, (L) and Artaves Freeman, 22. (R)
Latahnya Berry, 46, was shot and killed today in West Charlotte. It happened around 5:30pm on Columbus Circle.,
Police were called to a house after shots were fired around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived at the house, they found a woman dead inside the home.Police said they are investigating the death as a homicide. They have interviewed several witnesses. Authorities said they are looking for two black men, one armed with a handgun. The suspects were last seen in a dark green or black older model Lexus.
