Investigators are trying to determine what was stolen from a west Charlotte Department of Motor Vehicle office after a burglary this weekend. The DMV office located on Brookshire Boulevard was burglarized and police think the suspects may have entered the building through the roof.DMV employees said the inside of the building had been trashed by the suspects. Monday morning detectives processed the crime scene while DMV officials took inventory to see exactly what was stolen.
The Charlotte Fire Department was also called to the scene to help detectives gain access to the roof to try and determine how the suspects got in.DMV employees were sent home around 10:30 this morning and the Brookshire DMV location will be closed for most of the day.
