Shots were fired around 10:30 Sunday night in west Charlotte. A trail of blood near Parkway and Tuckaseegee Roads led investigators to a dead body. Homicide detectives currently are investigating the scene and have identified the victim as 18-year-old Travis Davis. Police Investigators say it appears Davis was shot while waiting for the bus home from his girlfriend's house.
Travis Davis was known by many as a Harding University High School football player and wrestler. Davis maintained a Myspace page and his last login was yesterday.
