Several Robberies Overnight

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police reported several overnight robberies in Charlotte on Thursday and early this morning:

* At 8:15 pm- Thursday, it was reported two men and one woman robbed three people at gunpoint at 7500 block of east Independence Boulevard. The suspects left the scene in a white Cadillac, police said.
* At 10:39 pm- Thursday, a woman reported being robbed at gunpoint while at her east Charlotte home. Three men broke into her home on the 3700 block of Marvin Road, demanded money and struck her, police said. The woman said she didn't have any money, and the suspects took unknown property before fleeing on foot.
* At 10:51 pm- Thursday, two people on the 5000 block of Rockwood Road in northwest Charlotte said three men pushed them to the ground and robbed them. The suspects fled on foot, police said.
* At 1:11 a.m. today, someone reported he was robbed at knifepoint by two men on the 3400 block of Wilkinson Boulevard. The victim was cut on the arm but police said he was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with no life-threatening injuries. Source: The Charlotte Observer
