Deborah Lynn Voit, 47, was arrested on October 15, 2006 for stalking Carolina Panthers quarterback, Jake Delhomme. Voit faces a felony charge of stalking and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespassing. Her bail was set at $20,000.
The Charlotte Observer spoke with Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Sgt. Ricky Robbins, who works security for the Panthers when off-duty, said she is accused of targeting Delhomme. Robbins said the unwanted attention began a few weeks ago.
In the past eight years, Voit has been convicted of trespassing, violating restraining orders, making harassing phone calls and stalking. Court records show she was sentenced for her charges with curfews, house arrests, drug screening and electronic monitoring.
