Police in east Charlotte are looking for suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery and shooting of a man on Thanksgiving evening. The incident happened behind the Bestway store off Farm Pond Lane at Albemarle Road.
The man who was shot in the robbery was hospitalized, but police say his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Police say the man had parked his pickup truck behind the store, near the English Hills Apartments on Farm Pond Lane. He was unloading three washing machines from the truck into the store, he told police, when he was approached by two armed men.
One of the assailants shot the victim in the chest and the hand. It is not clear if any money was actually stolen. Source: The Charlotte Observer
