Police officers responded to a report of a person shot near the intersection of Rowan Street and Tillman Road around 1:00 this morning. Officers located the shooting victim, Michael Christopher McLean, 35.McLean was transported to Carolinas Medical Center but died a short time later. Police obtained a murder warrant for Mitchull Donnel Moore (Photo R) for the shooting death of Michael McLean. A few hours later, Mitchull Moore, 36, turned himself in to police.
This is the 19th murder in Charlotte this year.
