William Lamont Green, 33, (R) was shot and killed last night at the Hampton Crest Apartments, located off North Wendover Road. The shooting occurred around 11:30pm in the parking lot outside one of the apartment buildings. When police arrived, they found Green dead with a gunshot wound to his chest.Thirty minutes after the shooting, a woman showed up at Presbyterian Hospital with a gunshot wound. She told police William Green assaulted her and she grabbed a gun during a struggle and shot Green in the chest. Police are still investigating the shooting and the woman's account of what happened.
