The Wachovia Bank located at 4501 Park Road was robbed this morning around 9:30am. A lone black male entered the bank armed with a handgun. He ordered the bank employees and customers to lie on the floor while he took cash from the tellers' registers.
After the robbery, witnesses saw the suspect enter a white, 4-door Honda Civic. Police say the suspect is believed to have triggered the red dye pack so his clothing, the stolen money and getaway car could be stained with red dye.
The suspect was dressed in dark clothing consisting of long pants and a long white t-shirt worn underneath a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. The suspects face was covered with a red bandana.
