Arson Suspect Arrested for Myers Park Fire

Early this morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers arrested 29-year old Edward Tinsley (R) for setting fire to a home under renovations on Briarcliff Place. CFD reported the damage to the million dollar home to be approximately $250,000.

One month ago, two other unoccupied homes were set on fire in the Myers Park neighborhood. CFD said arson investigators are working to see if Tinsley is responsible for those as well. One of the arson's occurred on Sharon Rd, where Tinsley resides.

Tinsley is charged with breaking & entering and setting fire to uninhabited houses. His bail is set at $500,000.
