FBI Seeking “Color Coordinated Bandit”

The FBI Safe Streets Task force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a bank robber who is being dubbed the “Color Coordinated Bandit.” He is responsible for robbing the Wachovia Bank located at 8800 J M Keynes Drive around 9:09 this morning.

Police say a lone male entered the bank and presented a note demanding money to one of the bank tellers. The suspect did not appear to be armed, as no weapon was observed or displayed.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the area, possibly in a full-size Chevrolet Suburban, late 90’s year model, that was green in color and was in good condition.

The suspect was described as a clean-shaven black male with a dark complexion, approximately 5’8” in height, weighing approximately 160 pounds, and early 20’s in age. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing what was described as a color-coordinated outfit consisting of a light-blue baseball cap, a white- and light-blue-colored plaid buttoned-down short, blue-jean short pants that were also light blue in color, and white tennis shoes. After entering the getaway vehicle, the suspect was observed removing his hat and shirt, revealing a white tank-top t-shirt underneath.

Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the FBI at 704-377-9200 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
