Pineville Restaurant Owner Found Injured

UPDATE: 9/07: Pineville Police say Robert John Marotta faked his own kidnapping and stabbing in July and now he is now charged with filing a false police report.

Police say Marotta's story didn't add up from the beginning. Investigators say the evidence the obtained indicates Marotta was the only person inside his SUV. At first, he told authorities he was kidnapped by a black and hispanic male.

Some news stations are reporting that Marotta was in a lot of debt. Apparently, he was calling friends and family members asking for money the week prior to when he pulled his stunt.
