Early Sunday morning, 20-year old Javaius Rontae Brown (R) and a second man attempted to rob a group of people partying behind an apartment complex on Conway Ave. Police say Brown was shot and killed by one of people in the crowd he attempted to rob. A second man, a party-goer, was shot and injured during the scuffle as well. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.Javaius Brown has an extensive criminal history in Mecklenburg County. Brown didn't have any robbery related arrests, however, he was well on his way... stealing cars, running from the police, hit and runs, drugs, probation violations, etc. As usual, Brown was sentenced to probation for all his convictions and he never learned his lesson... until now.
