Around 5:20 pm, CMPD responded to a shooting call at a car wash located at 3200 Beatties Ford Road. Upon arrival, Brandon Stinson (R) was located in one of the car wash bays suffering from a serious gun shot wound. Stinson was transported to Carolina's Medical Center and later died.During the initial response, an officer were also flagged down at Beatties Ford Road and Lasalle Street by a subject who identified himself as Gregory Hawkins. Hawkins was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and advised he was shot at the car wash. Hawkins was transported to CMC with non-life threatening wounds.
Police say that at this point in the investigation, it appears that Stinson and Hawkins shot each other. Homicide Detectives have not yet concluded how the shooting transpired.
