Early this morning, police were called to 3301 Cross Winds Road after neighbors called 911 when they heard gunshots.Upon arrival, police found 40-year old Richard Louis Deas deceased inside the residence. Police say he was shot several times and died as a result of his injuries.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police arrested Markese Donnell Rice, 27, and charged him with Deas' murder. Police have classified the murder as a domestic homicide, however, they are not commenting on the relationship between Deas and Rice.
