Around 6:30 pm, CMPD Officers responded to 1406 Mumford Lane in reference to a teenager shot outside his residence.Police say they found the 14-year old victim, Malcolm Perez Ruth inside his residence suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Ruth was transported to Carolinas Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries.
