On May 6, 2008, Tiamonta Tiar Robbins, 18, was convicted and sentenced to serve 6 1/2- 9 years in prison for a robbery he committed on March 6, 2007.Robbins robbed a Frito Lay delivery truck driver at the Pilot Station, located on Statesville Avenue. While sitting in his delivery truck, the victim was approached by Robbins, who pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The victim attempted to flee and fell from the truck- causing severe damage to his wrist. Robbins then took a computer bag from the truck and fled the scene.
Tiamonta Robbins was arrested for the robbery on June 11, 2007. At the time of his arrest, he was on probation for a prior narcotics charge.
