Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police detectives are investigating the shooting death of Servando Barriquera Roldan, 32. The shooting occurred just after 4:30 am at 6338 Countryside Drive off of North Tryon Street.Police say Officers and Medic responded to a call for service in which the caller indicated they had heard multiple shots fired and reported that a Hispanic male was lying in the doorway of an apartment, bleeding. The victim had been shot several times and was pronounced deceased at Carolinas Medical Center shortly before 5:30 am.
CMPD officers and detectives have been canvassing the neighborhood and are interviewing people who may have knowledge of the incident. Some people reported seeing a large dark-colored SUV occupied by three Hispanic males, possibly late teens or early 20’s, driving away at a high rate of speed immediately after the shots were fired. The motive for the shooting is unclear.
