Macieo White |
When officers arrived, they observed the suspect standing next to a vehicle with its trunk open. The officers questioned Macieo White, who admitted the vehicle did not belong to him and that he entered the unlocked car without permission or authority.
After further conversation, the suspect admitted to entering approximately ten vehicles at the apartment complex and proceeded to identify the vehicles he entered. The suspect was on probation for burglary at the time of the break-in’s. Providence Division Officers arrested Macieo Steven White. and charged him with breaking and entering. White has at least 3 prior arrests for the same type of crime.
Since the neighbor (witness) was willing to get involved and call police when they noticed something suspicious, White would more than likely still be free to victimize more of our citizens. CMPD continues to urge citizens to observe and report suspicious activity by calling 911. Anyone with information on unsolved cases may forward their anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
