Woman Arrested for 2010 'Breakfast Club' Murder

Homicide Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have charged 21-year old Karizma Sergeant with the September 10, 2010, murder of Dominic Nicholas Mahone.  She was already in jail on an accessory charge stemming from an unrelated murder that occurred on December 22, 2010, on Winged Elm Court.

During the course of this 8 month investigation, CMPD Homicide Detectives interviewed a multitude of individuals and gathered evidence and information which indicated that Sergeant and Mahone were known acquaintances and the suspect and victim were involved in a altercation earlier in the day of the homicide over illegal drugs.

Karizma Sergeant and Nic Mahone were also involved in a separate altercation at the club prior to Sergeant shooting Dominic Mahone, who succumbed to his injuries later that morning.  Some of Sergeant’s prior arrests include Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Breaking and Entering with Force, Flee to Elude Arrest and Accessory after the fact of a felony, etc...
