Troy Catoe |
Officers attempted to stop Catoe on the morning of January 5, 2011, to arrest him on misdemeanor traffic offenses. Catoe fled, striking a civilian vehicle, almost striking responding officers, and managed to elude capture. Later that day, Catoe broke into an automobile and stole a GPS unit. Officers located Catoe that evening and Catoe fled once again, leading officers on a lengthy chase through the streets of Charlotte. Officers eventually managed to stop and arrest Catoe.
Catoe was sentenced to 146-185 months in prison. The Honorable H. William Constangy, Superior Court Judge, presided over the arraignment at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse.
